One more year has passed and we are approaching the Holiday Season
Once again. For some of you, this is a joyous occasion, but for
others, unfortunately, it is the saddest. I encourage each of you
to be kind and smile at those you meet. No matter what their
situation is, trust me, it will brighten their day.
As you know, we will not have a gathering for the month of
December. This will allow you to spend some “Quality Time” with
your families and friends. From Karla, Patrick and I, we wish each
of you a Happy holiday Season.
The kits are in for the “Ride For Kids” to benefit the Pediatric
Brain Tumor Foundation. I know each of you are ready to assist with
the fundraising. I saw your eyes light up......smile! Yes, I do
know how to say PLEASE. I also really do believe we can surpass the
goal that has been set for Northeast Florida. All I ask is that
with your help, and anyone else that will, the result will be
great. When you see the kids and the look on their faces, you will
understand why I say that. Remember, it’s for the KIDS, not us. We
need about 75 volunteers to work the event, Sunday, April 5, 2009.
You will not be thee all day. But, there will be food, fun, music,
families, friends and plenty of smiles just to make your day.We will
have a sign-up sheet available for you to place your name and
telephone number on. We need to know you will be there because the
show must go on. We will have a meeting on the 13th of December,
the location will be announced again at Chapter V’s gathering on the
25th of November or you can contact me at 904-641-7611/904-251-5083
or e-mail me at
gldwng43@yahoo.com for the information. If the creek does rise,
jumpit, swim across it, push a tree down and wal across it, drive
your 4-wheeler through it (not your Gold Wing – it’ll get stuck),
but just be there for the fun.
Ride often but safely.
