CD Corner
August has been an interesting month that I don't think I'll forget
anytime soon. We went to Caps
Restaurant in St. Augustine for dinner, and it was one of the
worse experiences I've ever had. There was a problem with the food
and service that I could not ignore. The manager failed to resolve
the issue and did not apologize for the rudeness and simply stated,
"that's just the way it is".
We had over 25 people there, but we will never patronize that
restaurant again.
Charlie's Sock Hop was a success and everyone in attendance had a
great time. I think
Bill Berry had more fun than anyone. It was great to see him
having so much fun again. By the way, where were YOU?
The Region Rally in Eufaula Ala. is just around the corner and we
are looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible. I have
been there before and so have some of you too, it can be as much fun
as you make it. So fire up the Gold Wing, check it over thoroughly,
put some oil on the knees and back, then meet us there and let's see
what happens. I know you didn't forget how to smile.
Yes, Wings Over Smokies is the following week, but Karla and I
will not be able to attend. Keep your eyes on the event page and you
will see us soon.
I have been in touch with Frank and Melissa of Jax Biker Gear,
and we will re-submit our shirt order soon. If you did not purchase
a shirt with the first group, please give me your order which
includes, shirt size(s), how many, phone number and e-mail address.
Your shirt size will determine the cost. Contact me @
904-251-5083 with your information and any questions you may
have. Our goal is to have them before the Region Rally in September.
Thank you for your support.
Chapter-J participants, your ideas are welcome for any type of
ride or event that you want on the monthly calendar. Please contact
anyone on the Core Team to let us know where and what you would like
to go or do, thank you so much.
I'll see you at the next event?.
Ride often, but ride safely
